Meeting Meaningful Use Patient Access Requirements

We recently worked with a healthcare organization that serves many low-income patients and was struggling to gain users of its newly launched patient portal. Managers were very concerned about patients’ lack of access to personal computers. At one meeting, an iPad locked into a pedestal stand was demonstrated as a possible kiosk for patients to use while waiting.
